Montgomery County commissioners approved a set of vendor contracts and contract amendments during their Oct. 21 meeting, including a new subscription for fleet management software and a social media archiving agreement.
Rodney Smith, Senior IT Manager, recommended the County Information Management System (CIMS) from Diversified Computer Services, L.L.C., to maintain fleet inventory and service records for the Sheriff’s Office and county support services. The agreement listed a monthly subscription fee of $750 and implementation/terms described in the vendor license agreement attached to the agenda.
The commission also approved a PageFreezer contract to archive up to five social media accounts for open‑records compliance. The vendor quote attached to the agenda specifies one‑time configuration fees and an annual recurring cost ($2,700 in the quote) and indicates a three‑year term and data storage and retrieval features for legal and public‑records needs.
Other routine contract items approved included an owner‑architect agreement for renovation of the former Pardons and Parole building at 350 Adams Ave (budgeted at $700,000 in FY2026), an amendment extending carpet cleaning services for the Phelps‑Price Justice Center, and multiple intergovernmental and service agreements placed on the consent agenda. Commissioners approved these items mostly by motion on the consent agenda, recorded as carried unanimously unless noted in the minutes.
