Board accepts resignations and approves multiple hires, promotions and bus assignments ahead of school year

The Barr-Reeve Community Schools board accepted two resignations and approved multiple hires and personnel reorganizations as the district prepares for the 2026–27 school year.

The superintendent announced resignations by bus drivers Tina Busi (moving away) and Ashley Selman (accepted other employment) and the board accepted both resignations by voice vote.

On hires, the superintendent recommended and the board approved the following certified and instructional staffing: Lauren Landry as a third-grade teacher; paraprofessionals Jamie Richardet and Andrew Ivers; additional elementary paras Acacia Stahl, Brandy McCord and Jenna Yoder; Tara Nip for middle/high para duties; Brianne Risley as evening custodian; and Aaron Nash as a driver-education instructor. The superintendent said some positions replace departures and one elementary paraprofessional position is being added this year to maintain two paras per K–5 grade level.

In noncertified staff changes, the board approved promoting Joel Fletcher to lead evening custodian and combining the middle-school study-hall paraprofessional role with food-service treasurer duties for Michelle Craig. The superintendent also confirmed bus-route assignments: Abe Graber will take bus 5, Vera will move to bus 9, and Melvin Graber will take bus 10; administrators thanked staff for filling routes.

The board approved fall coaching recommendations, including Amy Stahl (6th-grade volleyball), Ryan Graber (junior-high boys tennis), volunteer Scott Mattingly (soccer) and volunteer Haley Cummins (volleyball).
