"We submitted the district's 26 27 federal programs consolidated application on 06/30/2026, securing $683,779 in grant funding to support Title 1, 2, 3, and 4 programs beginning July 1 for the 2627 school year," said Dr. Domers, who presented the federal programs report to the board. He described the grant as supporting services and programs the district will provide in the upcoming year.
Dr. Domers summarized summer programming numbers: approximately 140 students entering grades 1–4 are participating in a summer academy that provides daily reading and mathematics instruction alongside free breakfast and lunch; 19 students are enrolled in a math-8 acceleration program preparing for algebra I; and about 113 students are served through the district's extended-school-year (ESY) program with individualized academic and transition services.
Superintendent Dr. Ivasak clarified a detail about meal service during the summer programming: "Free breakfast and lunch [are] available to all children aged 0 to 18," he said, emphasizing the district's effort to ensure food access while school is out.
