Planning commission reviews zoning-definition cleanup, annexation and water/sewer capacity concerns

Attorney Tom Smith said the council wanted another review to ensure the changes would not create unintended legal or administrative effects.
Commissioners also briefly discussed potential future annexation, noting possible impacts on city infrastructure and referencing emails from the county. Alan Skinner and Commissioner Chris Guedes raised concerns about the capacity of the city's water and sewer systems, and potential infiltration issues that could affect development and annexation decisions.
The commission agreed to continue the conversation at a future meeting and to submit comments on zoning changes and area-of-impact questions by the Sept. 1 deadline.
