Police report: online reporting tool running smoothly; department introduces comfort canine

Separately, the officer introduced Sugar, a donated comfort canine sourced through Working Dogs America. Sugar will be used during victim interviews, school visits and community events to provide emotional support.
Members asked about public outreach for the reporting tool; the officer said the department has made social‑media posts and added a link on the Canby Police website and staff will explore presentations at community centers to increase awareness.
