Soda Springs planning commission opens hearing on proposed R‑zone use changes and orders revised public notices

The Soda Springs Planning & Zoning Commission opened a public hearing June 10 to consider a proposed code amendment that would change the allowed and conditional uses in the city’s R‑1, R‑2 and R‑3 residential zones. Chairman Charles Fryar called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. and opened the hearing at 6:08 p.m.

The commission recorded that "No written responses received" for the hearing. City Attorney Tom Smith urged the city to ensure broader public outreach, suggesting the city "re‑do the public notices to allow maximum notice to the public." The minutes state that the P&Z Secretary will send the public notices to legal for review before they are published.
