The board voted unanimously, 4‑0, to adopt the fees after Superintendent Mark Kress told members the club had been approved by the district in November and the Notice of Fee Increase was published in the Idaho State Journal on Dec. 6 and 13, 2024. Carol Hepworth moved the approval and Larin Mortimer seconded.
Board members did not tie the fees to any scholarship or fee‑waiver program during this meeting; no public comments were recorded in the Patron Forum. The fees will fund participation costs and travel expenses associated with interschool Esports competitions.
The board clerk will incorporate the fee change into district fee schedules and inform families through school channels; the motion passed with all members present voting yes.
