City Administrator Roxane Worley said Anderson Perry identified missing emergency plans in the City’s permit packet and that DEQ indicated the City’s grant application looked promising but that permit completeness was important to avoid future violations. Worley said work started after the application date can be reimbursed if the grant is approved.
Councilors discussed being proactive and decided to authorize the task order rather than wait for formal grant award. Councilor Roger Hodge moved to accept Anderson Perry Task Order 2026-1; Councilor Hilda Allison seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
The task order directs engineering and planning work to prepare the required emergency response and notification documents for DEQ review. Specific task-order cost and grant-award details were not read into the record.
