The Snake River School Board approved a series of routine but material business items at its Aug. 21 meeting.
The consent agenda, approved unanimously, included minutes of the July 17 regular meeting; the resignation of Amy Orme (SRO K‑8 teacher); new hires including Brian Goff (SRHS counselor), Dean Bonney (SRMS principal), Barbara Bedwell (SRHS teacher), Angela Eshelman (SROHS science teacher), Tyler Porter (SRHS English teacher), Lisa Lagerstrom (SRO K‑8 teacher), Lori Christiansen (Moreland kitchen cook) and Stacy Kiel (Moreland Title I aide); and payroll status changes and reconciliation reports. The board approved the consent agenda 5-0.
The board also accepted quarterly reconciliation and budget reports and approved payroll and claims payable for July 2024; after discussion the board approved the quarterly investment statements (unanimous vote).
Administrators presented a list of supplemental (extracurricular and special-assignment) contracts for 2024–25; the board approved those contracts 5-0. In separate action the board approved an alternative authorization request so Tyler Porter may teach secondary English at Snake River High School while he completes required endorsement coursework; that motion passed 5-0.
All routine approvals were recorded in the meeting minutes as unanimous votes; no further conditions or dissent were recorded.
