Clerk Treasurer Nancy Redick presented the first reading of Ordinance 944 on July 14, an amendment to the fiscal year 2026 budget that adjusts line items by fund. Redick said a detailed exhibit and the full budget amendment are posted on the city website and invited questions from council and the public.
The public hearing opened for comments and, after no one came forward to speak on the budget amendment, the mayor closed testimony. Redick said the ordinance requires a second reading and a vote at the next council meeting.
"So should you have any questions, after the meeting, you can always contact me regarding that," Redick said during her presentation. The council took no final vote on the ordinance at the July 14 meeting; a second reading and possible adoption were scheduled for the next meeting.
