The Woolwich Township Committee on May 19 introduced its 2025 municipal budget, outlining capital priorities and revenue sources that township officials said will keep the local municipal tax rate unchanged since 2021. CFO Lois Yarrington and Township Auditor Fred Caltabiano led the presentation, citing planned capital spending on police SUVs, Garwin Road improvements, fire company equipment and contributions to the Capital Improvement Fund.
Caltabiano summarized revenue streams, pointing to surplus balances, grant awards, State Aid and PILOT municipal-tax receipts as the main sources underpinning the spending plan. The Committee adopted the budget introduction resolution (R-2025-131) and scheduled a public hearing for June 16, 2025, where members of the public may comment before final adoption.
Deputy Mayor Nocentino praised the Committee for surplus growth in recent years. The budget introduction carries no immediate tax-rate increase; the auditor reported the municipal portion of the rate will remain at the level set in 2021. The township will circulate the hearing notice and budget documents ahead of the June 16 public meeting.
