Glencoe seeks volunteers for joint Beach Parking Task Force; applications due July 24

The Village of Glencoe is recruiting residents to serve on a joint Beach Parking Task Force with the Park District to study parking and operations at Glencoe Beach and Lakefront Park.

Village Manager Crowley said the task force will be co‑chaired by a Park District board member and a Village Board member, will meet publicly in September, October, November and December (and in January if needed), and aims to develop recommendations for both boards to consider. "The application ... is available now on both the Village and Park District's websites," Crowley said during the July 16 meeting.

Who should apply and deadline: Crowley said the Village is looking for community members to serve; the application is available at www.villageofglencoe.org and on the Park District site. The stated deadline to apply is Friday, July 24, though Crowley added the timeline may be extended if needed.
