Ordinance 2066, "Relating to the Use of Public Property for Camping, Lying, and Sleeping and Establishing Chapter 80," was adopted on second reading after a 3-0 vote (Councilors McCollam and Gatliff moved and seconded). The ordinance establishes rules for camping on public property within city code.
Resolution 2024‑953, authorizing transfer of line‑item funds to comply with budget law requirements, was read by title and approved 3-0. Council also approved Waste Management’s 2024 rate increase raising the fee from $83.75/ton to $94.50/ton effective Sept. 1, 2024; that motion passed 3-0.
Other routine approvals included consent‑agenda items such as the July 10 meeting minutes and business license renewals. The council did not receive public comment on these items at the meeting.
