New Rockford commission approves agenda, minutes, bills, permits and securities

The New Rockford City Commission on May 5 approved routine governance and financial items, including the meeting agenda, prior meeting minutes, financial reports, April bills, gaming permits and building permits.
Commissioner Fleming moved to approve the agenda; Commissioner Dauenhauer seconded and the motion carried. Commissioner Belquist moved to approve the April 7 regular meeting minutes, the April 7 tax equalization meeting minutes and the April 14 special meeting minutes; Commissioner Fleming seconded and the motion carried.
Mayor Stuart Richter moved to approve the financial reports as presented and Commissioner Belquist seconded. Commissioner Dauenhauer moved to approve the April bills and Commissioner Fleming seconded; in a roll-call vote Richter, Belquist, Fleming and Dauenhauer voted “aye.”
The commission approved gaming permits for NRABC on a motion by Commissioner Belquist and second by Commissioner Fleming. Commissioner Fleming moved to approve building permits for Dawn Engstrom, Steve Weisenburger, Jon Jonhson and NR-S School; Commissioner Dauenhauer seconded and the motion carried. Mayor Richter moved to approve pledges of securities and Commissioner Dauenhauer seconded; the motion carried.
All motions recorded in the minutes carried without recorded opposition. The commission adjourned at 10:09 a.m.; its next regularly scheduled meeting is June 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall.
