Early in the meeting the committee approved the minutes of its prior meeting (01/28/2026) after a motion to approve and a second; the chair announced the motion carried by voice vote.
The chair also announced that Governor Little had withdrawn his reappointment of Estella Zamora to the Idaho Commission on Human Rights; a letter in the committee packet documented the withdrawal and the chair said the correspondence would be returned to the president of the senate and filed with the senate secretary. No committee action was required on the reappointment following the withdrawal.
With those procedural items resolved, the committee moved to consider rule dockets and RS filings.
