City administrator outlines asset-tracking plan, recent paving, RV-park concept and downtown branding work

Myrtle Creek — City Administrator Lonnie Rainville told the council on Aug. 6 that the city needs improved fixed-asset tracking and is considering purchasing the fixed-asset module within the existing Springbrook financial software.
Rainville said the Holly and Leon paving project is complete and that Knife River will use a subcontractor to finish striping; striping on the new downtown parking lot has also been completed. Staff presented a mock-up showing expanded RV spots as part of an RV-park expansion goal; Council and staff want a public meeting to gather community feedback before spending funds on concept work. Rainville also reported staff met with Lotus Media on downtown branding direction and that surveys tied to League of Oregon Cities (LOC) focus topics are still needed.
