The superintendent also briefed the board on a recent governor's executive order about personal electronic devices. The district must have a policy in place by Oct. 31 and implement it on Jan. 1; the guidance calls for written procedures, exemptions for IEP/504/medical needs, and staff direction for discipline that does not remove instructional time.
