City manager reports progress on strategic plan and grant request; youth advisory announces blood-drive turnout and fundraising plans

In a separate youth-advisory report a youth council member said a recent high-school blood drive drew about 50 participants after low sign-ups initially and that the council plans a May 3 fun run and a fundraising dinner or bingo night to support a student, Sawyer Bazan, whose condition has worsened. The youth representative asked the city to coordinate possible donations from local businesses.
