Dave Taylor presented two bids: Miracle Signs ($4,305.50) recommended PVC vinyl panels and Highwayman Signs ($7,985) which includes steel-frame replacement and installation (Highwaymans quote includes a $2,250 steel-frame/installation line item). Taylor said he preferred the Highwayman product for durability and future support and noted the chamber and SADEC backed the design approach. "He recommends Highwayman Signs as they will be very helpful in the future when replacing the signs," the meeting record states.
Council discussion touched on aesthetics and longevity; Sharon Payne expressed concern about vinyl weathering while other speakers observed Highwaymans work on nearby projects and vouched for the material. Adam Clark moved to proceed with Highwayman Signs and Janice Fine seconded; the motion carried.
