The Berkeley County Planning Commission unanimously approved the final plat for Bridle Creek Phase 7, Section 1, contingent on receipt of a $1,231,800 surety. Staff presented the file (2606-322) and recommended approval after concluding the plat met the subdivision ordinance requirements.
"This final plat proposes 60 townhome lots on 12.44 acres to be served by public water and sewer," a planning staff member said during the hearing and recommended final plat approval contingent upon the surety. Steve Cianovich, representing Fox and Associates for the applicant, was present to answer questions but no members of the public spoke for or against the project.
Following the public hearing, a commissioner moved to accept staff's recommendation and approve the final plat contingent on the surety; the motion carried on a voice vote.
Next steps: the county will not release the final plat approval until staff records receipt of the $1,231,800 surety specified at the hearing.
