Bayfield County veterans office outlines outreach plans; committee adopts public comment sign-in form

At the April 27 meeting, Bates of the Bayfield County Veterans Service Office updated the Sheriff’s Committee on several outreach and operations items. The office discussed reimbursement and compensation for volunteer drivers, plans to publish a quarterly newsletter, and an open-house event set for May 14. Bates also said Veterans Service staff will be active at this year’s Bayfield County Fair and that staff are attending a conference in Stevens Point.
Separately, the committee discussed use of a public comment sign-in form; members supported using the attached form. Jackie Roguski suggested that people attending online enter their names and locations in the meeting chat to facilitate recordkeeping for remote participants.
No formal votes were recorded on the veterans outreach items; the committee supported the sign-in form administratively.
