FGCU nominating committee unanimously recommends Michael Wynn as board chair, Richard Eide as vice chair

The Officers Nominating Committee of the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees unanimously recommended Trustee Michael Wynn as board chair and Trustee Richard Eide as vice chair during a virtual meeting on Dec. 11, 2025, and will forward the slate to the full Board for action on Jan. 13, 2026.
The committee, chaired by Trustee Joseph Fogg and meeting virtually, convened at 8:34 a.m. and confirmed quorum after Tiffany Reynolds, Director of Board Relations, called the roll. Trustee Robbie Roepstorff moved to recommend Wynn and Eide for the two leadership posts; Trustee Henry Saad seconded. Chair Fogg called for a voice vote and the motion passed unanimously.
President Aysegul Timur spoke in support of the nominees, saying, "FGCU had experienced great leadership under BOT Chair Wynn and Vice Chair Eide the past two years." No public comments were submitted for the agenda item prior to the meeting deadline, and no additional discussion or amendments were offered by committee members.
The meeting record includes a roll-call-style record of the voice vote showing Trustees Roepstorff, Saad and Fogg voting "Yea." The committee adjourned at 8:40 a.m. Chair Fogg said the recommended slate will be presented to the full Board for consideration and action at its Jan. 13, 2026 meeting.
