Board approves budget, academic changes, regulations and audits; tables Little Eagles fee increase

At its June 10 meeting FGCU trustees unanimously approved the 2025–26 operating budget, carryforward funds, multiple academic program changes and regulations, and accepted two audits; trustees tabled the Little Eagles Learning Center fee increase for additional notice to families.
The Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees voted unanimously on a series of motions June 10, approving the 2025–26 operating budget, the carryforward funds plan for fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, the FGCU Financing Corporation 2025–26 budget, a slate of academic changes (faculty promotions, new Hospitality & Tourism major and CIP code updates), the Academic Year 2026–27 general-education course list, and several regulations including Tuition & Fees and updated parking regulations and enforcement. The Board also accepted the Foreign Influence Audit and the State of Florida compliance and federal awards audit.
Chair Michael Wynn asked that the Little Eagles Learning Center (LELC) fee-increase item (TAB #20) be tabled to allow families additional notice; Trustee Robbie Roepstorff moved to table and Trustee Joseph Fogg seconded. The Board approved tabling the item by unanimous voice vote.
All action items presented at the meeting passed on recorded voice votes without opposition (12 votes in favor, one trustee excused). Board minutes and the record of votes list motions, movers and seconders for each agenda item and will be filed with meeting materials. Trustees requested supplemental materials on some items (for example, an analysis of the Soar in 4 program and additional detail on parking-appeal procedures) and directed administration to return with those details at a subsequent meeting.
