On student discipline, the superintendent described multi‑day staff work sessions to draft a K‑12 discipline plan. Staff and teacher teams categorized offenses as minor, moderate and major and drafted consistent response levels for the elementary and the middle/high school. The teams plan another work session and hope to finalize priority items before the end of the school year, with the district aiming to align procedures so teachers across grades apply a consistent approach.
Board members asked clarifying questions about timelines and evaluations; administration said the plan will return for further review and that they will prioritize the most problematic behaviors first if the full plan cannot be completed before year‑end.
