Molalla adopts $75.5 million FY2025'26 budget after brief hearing

Finance director Cindy Schron presented the proposed balanced city budget for fiscal year 2025'26 and said the budget committee had reviewed and recommended adoption. Schron told the council the proposed total is $75,509,873 and moved to adopt Resolution 2025'07 to make appropriations and impose and categorize taxes for the coming fiscal year.
The council opened the required public hearing; no members of the public spoke on the budget item and the hearing was closed. Councilor motioned to approve Resolution 2025'07; the motion was seconded and the city recorder called the roll. The vote passed 6'0'00. The council then proceeded to general business.
Later in the meeting the Molalla Urban Renewal Agency held a mirror public hearing and adopted Mirror Resolution 2025'01, approving a $4,985,615 urban renewal budget and declaring tax increment for 2025'26.
City staff said the budget actions complete required annual appropriations and will guide operations for the next fiscal year. No amendments were proposed at the meeting.
