A budget-committee representative reported recommendations to the commission: accept a $250,000 TDEC convenience-center grant for the Lenoir City location with a 50% local match from the solid-waste fund; amend special revenue to reinstate $75,000 for the Boys & Girls Club into the new fiscal year; and approve several capital items, including $12,460 for election department computers, $6,000 for UT Ag carpet replacement, $4,010 for employee benefits carpet, $50,893 for a Ford F-250 litter truck, and $18,333 for a health department fire alarm panel.
Committee members noted that purchases would be subject to procurement rules and available funding. The report was informational at the workshop and will appear on a future agenda for formal action.
