Dunmead said Bermuda Run was organized and built in the “mid to late 80s” and described the neighborhood’s housing composition: 19 homeowners in the property owners association and 12 condominium units at the end of the development. “That’s a mixture of permanent residents and renters,” he said, and added that rentals increase the population beyond an estimated 60 full-time residents.
He described Bermuda Run as “our little slice of paradise,” and listed routine community activities that keep neighbors connected: water aerobics at the pool, mahjong classes and a monthly social gathering on the last Friday of each month. Mayor Sweeney echoed that sentiment, saying, “It really is our residents that make this such a wonderful place to live and play and have friendships,” and thanked Dunmead for sharing his neighborhood with viewers.
