Commissioners accept auditorium HVAC quote, agree not to start construction until full funding is secured

Spicer and others said the heating system (boiler) remains functional for the short term but the county wants air conditioning in place for upcoming events; gas-line work and tank installation for heating were not yet budgeted and would likely require additional grants or partner funding.
After discussion about contract timing and the need to secure remaining funds, a motion to accept the Stanley Heating & Air quote was made and approved by the board; commissioners emphasized that accepting a quote does not authorize immediate construction and that work would wait until funding is secured. Separately, the county manager reiterated that the transfer-station redesign is a top infrastructure priority and that an RFP for a new facility is in process.
The board discussed seat repairs and possible grant support; no immediate additional county appropriation was authorized at the meeting.
