Village approves $1.225 million Pierce contract for 2029 fire engine

Trustees discussed potential ISO rating implications and adherence to NFPA standards, and Flaherty said he preferred following NFPA guidance to ensure reliable service.
Administrator Nick Leonard said funding would be managed through capital balances and planned borrows so the Village could remain within its long-term capital strategy. The board recorded the motion and authorized the contract.
