Committee recommends bills, multiple appointments and zoning ad to council; votes recorded

At its July 14 meeting the Narberth Finance Administration Committee took several formal recommendations to send to borough council.

- Scheduled bills: A motion to recommend approval of scheduled bills for the General Capital Sewer and Solid Waste Fund in the amount of $343,867.28 was moved by a committee member and seconded by Chair Jim Spear. The committee voice-voted to recommend the bills (recorded as "2 to nothing").

- Appointments: The committee discussed vacancies and preferences for several boards and committees and moved to recommend the following appointments to council (transcript spelling retained where uncertain): Matt Patrick to the police pension fund; Greg Ridgeway to the police advisory committee; Greg Winfield to a separate vacancy; and Harwell Wells (transcript spelling ambiguous) to an industrial-development role. The motion was seconded and the committee recommended the appointments on a 2-to-nothing voice vote.

- Ordinance advertisement: A motion to recommend to council that the borough authorize advertisement of Ordinance 10‑70 (the zoning recodification) was moved, seconded and recommended (voice vote "2 to nothing"). The committee clarified that the recodification is procedural (no substantive wording changes intended) and that any substantive text amendments will follow normal planning-commission and public-comment procedures.

Motions were generally moved by the unnamed committee member who took the lead in discussion and seconded by Chair Jim Spear; votes were recorded as unanimous on the committee's two participating voting members. The meeting adjourned after brief committee reports and no public comments.
