Wildwood staff reports several new businesses and ribbon‑cuttings planned for late summer

The staff member (S2) listed new and reopening businesses: Sugar Siren (baked goods and take‑and‑go) will occupy 16962 Manchester Road and is scheduled to open Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026; Kurt's Nursery and Topsoil opened several months ago and will have a ribbon cutting; Scratch Factory (catering) at 16455 Village Plaza, Extension Lounge salon at 17014 New College Avenue and Life & Styles at 2646 State Route 109 all reported positive early results or reopening plans; Edward Jones (17221 New College Avenue) will have a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, July '26 at 4:30 p.m. with an open house from 4–7 p.m.
"Very excited to see them come in, as we are aware," the staff member said, noting the department will schedule ribbon‑cuttings through August and September and publish dates in the weekly CA reports. Staff asked committee members to help coordinate mayoral availability for ceremonial events.
The updates also included a brief status report on Luxury Living construction (substantial completion anticipated by 07/31/2028) and that the LaSalle redevelopment group has an initial concept and expects to proceed first to DZRC and then to HPC and council if it pursues historic‑registry actions.
Staff will circulate ribbon‑cutting dates and include business updates in routine reports to the committee.
