P&Z recommends rezoning and plat; council sends items for public hearing next month

Chairman Benson reported a Planning & Zoning recommendation to rezone part of Lot 1, Oxbow Sixth Addition and part of Lot 3, Block 1, Oxbow Third Addition to SFR-3, and to approve the proposed Oxbow Twelfth Addition plat. Following the P&Z recommendation, Councilmember Mark Sanders moved and Councilmember Cody Furstenau seconded a motion to add a public hearing and first reading of both items to next month’s council agenda; the motion carried.
The minutes record the P&Z committee’s recommendation; the council did not conduct the public hearing at this meeting and no final rezoning or plat approval was recorded. The items will return for formal review and public comment at the next meeting as scheduled.
