Silver Creek supervisors endorse speed-study resolution; approve clerk travel and flag purchases

The Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors voted on several routine items and endorsed a speed-study resolution during its Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025 meeting.
Supervisor Andy Christensen moved to approve the meeting agenda; Supervisor Sandy Forsman seconded. The board approved the agenda on a 4-0 vote. Supervisor Ryan Nelson then moved to approve the July 15, 2025 meeting minutes; Supervisor Christensen seconded, and that motion also carried 4-0.
On financial and administrative items, Supervisor Nelson moved to authorize up to $70 for clerk attendance at a Franklin Township meeting for Couri and Ruppe; Supervisor Christensen seconded and the motion carried 4-0. Vice Chair Brandon Geyen moved to approve the purchase of flags; Supervisor Forsman seconded and that motion carried 4-0.
In old business, the board read a speed-study resolution and all supervisors indicated they were in favor. Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen was directed to email a signed copy of the resolution to the MNDOT engineer.
The board adjourned at 9:15 p.m. after a motion by Supervisor Nelson and a second from Supervisor Forsman; the vote was 4-0.
The actions recorded were limited to the items above; no other formal votes or motions were noted in the minutes.
