The Chappaqua Board of Trustees voted to accept the June 2026 treasurer's report on July 20, with Treasurer Jen Fay presenting the findings to trustees.
Jen Fay, treasurer, said the report showed the library had "collected 100% of the tax levy" and that revenue was above budget; she also told trustees there were 25 checks older than six months outstanding with a total value of $3,564. Fay described expenses as approximately 91.64% of budgeted levels.
The report, prepared by Nawrocki Smith and submitted as the June treasurer's report, was moved for approval by Fay and seconded; the board approved the report by voice vote. Trustees did not identify a specific contingency tied to the outstanding checks but noted Jen Fay and staff would follow up to close those items.
During discussion a trustee asked about a dual payment of Medicare reimbursements. Director Daddio reported that the library mailed a batch of Medicare reimbursement checks that "all disappeared," requiring staff to reissue payments and stop the originals if they should turn up. The board indicated staff would verify canceled checks and continue reconciliations.
The motion to accept the treasurer's report carried by voice vote. The board requested follow-up on the outstanding checks and the reissued Medicare payments.
