The Stratmoor Hills Water District Board of Directors unanimously approved a 12-month contract with Colorado Connections Locating LLC during its regular meeting held on September 17, 2025, according to minutes prepared October 15, 2025. Vice President John Willcox moved to accept the contract; Secretary/Treasurer Richard Bond seconded, and the vote was recorded as 5-0 in favor.
The contract vote came amid a series of procedural actions taken by the five-member board. Secretary/Treasurer Richard Bond moved to postpone substantive action on the district's Human Resources Representative item until the next meeting; Director Richard Dull seconded and the motion passed unanimously, leaving the HR matter unresolved for now.
District Manager Darren Adame delivered the manager's report and the Safety Committee update included in the board packet, reporting that "it has been 135 days since the latest accident, and 6 days since the latest close call." He also noted that the next safety committee meeting is scheduled for November 12, 2025.
On finance, Adame reported that the September 2025 financial report was included in the packet and that the district is "staying on budget." Vice President John Willcox moved to approve the September financial report; Secretary/Treasurer Richard Bond seconded and the board approved it unanimously 5-0.
Board members also scheduled the District Manager's evaluation to take place at the next board meeting after Secretary/Treasurer Bond moved for the evaluation to be completed at that time; Director Dull seconded and the motion passed 5-0.
