Silver Creek Township supervisors approve engineering contract, equipment repairs and personnel schedule

Chairman Mike Helman presided over the Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors meeting on June 17, 2025, where the board approved a set of routine administrative actions and local spending items.
The board voted 3-0 to contract with Otto for engineering services not to exceed $30,000 and to authorize up to $500 to repair the township hall’s video and audio system. Supervisors also approved up to $10,000 for repairs to a loader and agreed that township employees will not work on June 19. All recorded motions were carried by a 3-0 vote.
The meeting opened with approval of the agenda after Supervisor Andy Christensen moved to add an Olson liquor-license item to new business and the county assessor to old business; the motion was seconded by Supervisor Sandy Forsman and carried 3-0. Christensen then moved approval of the June 3 meeting minutes and the list of disbursements; both motions were seconded by Forsman and carried 3-0. The minutes list audit-of-claims payments to Cintas, Chamberlin Oil, Menards and TDS.
Under old business the board voted 3-0 to continue using Wright County Assessors for assessment services while noting the board will ‘‘look into other options for the future.’’ Under new business the board approved contracting Otto for engineering services, not to exceed $30,000, and separately approved up to $500 to repair the hall’s AV equipment. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn was made by Supervisor Christensen and seconded by Supervisor Forsman.
No public comments were recorded in the minutes for the Open Forum period. Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen and guests were noted in attendance on the sign-in sheet.
