Separately, the board discussed a newly secured grant or funding stream to install fiber internet in part of Orange. One board member said, "We've finally secured money. We're gonna get fiber Internet installed in Orange ... I would like to continue representing Orange and our interest." The board moved to name Shavon Parikhone as an alternate representative for that effort; the motion was seconded and approved.
The board asked that the signed documents be scanned and distributed to members. No contract value or installation timeline was provided on the record during the discussion.
