Commission seeks clarification from NH DES on Blake Brook prime-wetland boundary changes

At the June 4 meeting the Meredith Conservation Commission discussed proposed modifications to the boundary of the Blake Brook Prime Wetland and follow-up steps with state officials.
Stephanie Maltais reported she had emailed Rick Van de Poll and Jessica Bailey regarding the proposed boundary modifications for Lot R12-4 in the Blake Brook Prime Wetland. She also described a town meeting with Maryann Tilton and other New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NH DES) staff about the process for redesignating Prime Wetlands; Maltais said she will provide the commission with DES clarifications when she receives them.
Commissioners also noted that an Upper Terrace seven-lot subdivision is expected to apply for a special exception for driveway construction, which could relate to wetland permitting and review processes. The commission took no formal regulatory action at the June 4 meeting but documented follow-up steps to obtain state guidance.
