Township maintenance update; driveway access in ROW approved, petition and public hearing required to vacate road

In new business Chairman Mike Helman moved to authorize Shellquist to place a driveway in the township right‑of‑way to connect three properties to a new road; Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The board recorded that a petition from eight residents and a public hearing will be required to vacate the road and right‑of‑way. Supervisor Christensen reported he met with Monticello Fire and the City and said there is a $689 deduction from 2025 and that two years remain on the current fire contract.
The board adjourned after the listed business.
