According to the grant document included in the meeting packet, Montgomery County Juvenile Court expects the funding to support a diversion program that will provide services to roughly 60 youths per year with an ongoing capacity of about 30 youths at any given time. The program description states services may include needs assessments, individualized treatment plans, clinical group and individual therapy, in‑home services, parenting education, transportation and supervision for community service projects, and follow‑up care. The packet indicates the county will contract with The Bridge, Inc. to administer services.
The DYS agreement requires regular self‑evaluation, monthly data entry into the DYS Grantee Information Management System (GIMS), and an annual report by Nov. 30 for the fiscal year. Quarterly evaluative reviews may trigger funding adjustments if program population is consistently below thresholds identified in the grant. The award document also includes standard termination, record‑keeping, and fiscal‑responsibility provisions.
Commissioner Castanza moved approval, Vice Chairman Moore‑Zeigler seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The county administrator and juvenile court representatives were identified in the packet as responsible for executing and administering the award and for providing required reports to DYS.
