Belleair Beach's City Council unanimously adopted its final annual budget for fiscal year 2025-26 on Sept. 15, 2025, approving Resolution 2025-09 and noting a corrected total of $7,246,725.
Attorney Myers read the budget resolution into the record. During review, the city manager explained that the stormwater-repair line had been increased by $45,000 after the initial draft was prepared; the corrected total figure was stated to the council before the motion.
"After we first created this resolution, we did increase the stormwater budget for repairs by $45,000," the city manager said, describing the correction and identifying the affected line item. The manager said the additional funds were reallocated into the final document.
Council member Jody Shirley moved to adopt the final budget; the motion was seconded by Boyd Roberts. The clerk called the roll and the resolution passed unanimously. The council also noted that the budget is prepared on a balanced basis and that any in-year amendments would identify corresponding funding sources.
The city manager said engineering and procurement items remain subject to standard review and that the council can adopt amendments by resolution during the fiscal year as needed.
