Presiding officials administered the oath of office to Carmen Miller, who was sworn in as mayor of the city of Tega Cay. Later in the meeting the council administered the oath to Heather Jones to begin her term as a council member. Council Member Thomas Hyslop was nominated to serve as mayor pro tem; the nomination was seconded and the ayes carried.
