Board approves personnel actions, honors support staff and teachers of the month

Miss Bridal (S2) presented personnel actions included in the board packet and asked for board approval; a motion to pre-approve the personnel actions passed by voice vote, 7–0. Bridal also announced a new monthly support-staff recognition program, sponsored initially by the division’s insurance company, and named the first honorees: elementary support staff Jill Williams (Stuart Strafft Elementary), middle-school honoree Jackie Howell (Riverheads Middle School), and high-school honoree Cindy Denome (Wilson Memorial High School). Bridal said nominees had not yet been notified and staff would inform administrators and honorees.
Dr. Milton (S12) continued recognitions by announcing teachers of the month: Kathy Ewell (elementary), Amanda Marshall (middle) and Matt Bariclo (high school), and described the work that led to their selection.
Board members thanked staff and noted the importance of recognizing support personnel and teachers.
