Board members acknowledged the complexity and the town's need to balance tolerance for post-storm rebuilding with public safety. The board agreed to collect more public input, ask staff to draft specific permit conditions and logistics language, and to discuss the topic again in a future meeting and a council work session rather than adopting an ordinance immediately.
No formal ordinance was adopted; the matter was tabled for additional study and staff follow-up.
