Belleair Shores adopts 0.5345 mills and final FY2024–25 budget

The Town of Belleair Shores commission adopted a 0.5345 millage rate and approved the final fiscal year 2024–2025 budget at a public hearing Tuesday evening in the City of Belleair Bluffs Mayors Conference Room.
Mayor Blume read Resolution 2024-06 by title and reported that the proposed millage rate of 0.5345 mills is greater than the rollback rate of 0.4983 mills by 7.26 percent. After opening the hearing for commission and public comment and hearing none, Vice Mayor Storie moved to adopt Resolution 2024-06; Commissioner Tolbert seconded. The commission recorded a unanimous voice vote in favor of the resolution.
The commission then considered Resolution 2024-07, the final budget for FY2024–2025. Mayor Blume read the resolution by title, opened the floor for comment and received none. Commissioner Tolbert moved to adopt Resolution 2024-07; Vice Mayor Storie seconded. The motion passed on a unanimous voice vote.
The public hearing was closed by Mayor Blume. The minutes were attested by Town Clerk Mary Palmer, MMC.
