Belleair Shore adopts ordinances on elections and beach access

At a noticed public hearing on Jan. 21, the Town of Belleair Shore commission adopted two ordinances and approved records for disposal.
Attorney Lewis read Ordinance 2025-01 (amending Chapter 14 – Elections) by title. Commissioner Tolbert moved to adopt the ordinance; Commissioner Robin Lally seconded. Mayor Blume opened the floor for public comment and none was offered. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote and Ordinance 2025-01 was adopted.
Attorney Lewis then read Ordinance 2025-02 (amending Chapter 30 – Beach Access Areas) by title. Vice Mayor Storie moved to adopt Ordinance 2025-02; Commissioner Tolbert seconded. The voice vote was unanimous and the ordinance was adopted.
Town Clerk Mary F. Palmer said the records listed for disposal would be shredded per the State of Florida Division of Library Services guidelines. Commissioner Tolbert moved to approve disposal of the listed records; Commissioner Lally seconded and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The minutes do not record roll-call counts, only that votes were unanimous.
