ESC adopts FY27 work-plan guide and agrees to submit input on Select Board goals

At its July 2 meeting, the Environmental Sustainability Committee approved a draft FY27 work plan and rough budget allocation as a nonbinding guide for the coming year and voted unanimously to pursue a collaboration with TSAC on upcoming film presentations.
Co-chair Christina Christodoulopoulos screen-shared a draft work plan compiled during the previous term. Committee members discussed and amended the document before moving, and passing, a motion (moved by Eric Balles; seconded by Kyra Prats) to adopt the plan as a guide rather than a binding budget. Members also unanimously approved a motion to collaborate with TSAC on documentary film presentations.
The Select Board chair subsequently sent ESC the Boards draft FY27 goals; Christina presented redlined input and the committee voted unanimously to accept the ESC comments and to authorize the co-chairs to add any additional clarifications prior to submission. The minutes note $245.30 remaining in ESCs FY26 account, which the committee discussed in the context of outreach planning.
The motions leave scope and funding decisions for future meetings: the work plan will guide priorities and outreach but does not, by itself, commit further budget authority. The ESC will follow up on the TSAC partnership and submit its compiled comments to the Select Board.
