Board approves homecoming parade, land-use permit and building repairs

The board voted unanimously to allow the River Ridge homecoming parade to pass through downtown and authorized staff to submit required permit applications. Separately, the board approved a land-use permit from Pete Langmeier to raze an existing, structurally poor house at 510 2nd Street and replace it with a new single-family residence; Clerk Atterbury noted the sale of the property was nearly finalized.
Public works presented two quotes to install steel siding on the wastewater plant building and the salt shed; the board selected John Klein’s quote because it included electrical work the other bidder did not and approved the $4,850 contract.
The motions to approve the parade, the land-use permit and the Klein quote all carried by unanimous vote.
