The Woodbury Select Board on March 9 welcomed newly sworn-in member John Gordon and organized the board for the coming year, electing officers by acclamation and approving routine minutes and settlement paperwork.
The board’s chair opened the meeting and the body completed the swearing-in before taking nominations. Diana (speaker 2) nominated Chris Casey for chair and John for vice chair; with no other nominations the board elected the slate by acclamation. The board agreed to hold regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 6 p.m. in the community room and designated the Times Argus as the newspaper of record for legal notices.
The board voted to accept the minutes of Feb. 23 and March 5. The town clerk presented appointments to several volunteer positions (constable, animal control officer, zoning and advisory committees), which the board accepted. The board also authorized Diana to sign overweight permits on the town’s behalf.
On motions brought later in the agenda, the board approved a settlement statement related to the Shattuck property closing (parcel identified in meeting materials as 3664) and signed an agreement to permit processing for the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department settlement paperwork; in both cases the board voted to approve the documents as presented and authorized staff to coordinate any required walkthroughs and signatures.
The meeting adjourned after off-camera approval of bills and payroll.
