Town to hold forum on transportation survey; $15,000 subaward to fund planning

Granville will convene a public forum to follow up on a town transportation survey and to prioritize projects eligible for a small planning subaward, a remote presenter told the Select Board May 12.
Brian, who led the survey effort, said the town had received 13 responses and recommended inviting respondents and other residents to a focus‑group style warrant meeting so the full board could hear priorities in a public setting. "If a majority of the select board is going to be there, that will count as a select board meeting," he said, noting staff should warn the session accordingly.
Brian also said the subaward includes "about $15,000, a little over $15,000 that can go towards planning studies or engineering studies for any sort of transportation project." He recommended the board identify one or two priority projects that could be advanced with planning funds and offered to draft a short summary of survey results and a set of focus questions for the meeting.
Board members discussed possible dates (late May or early June) and agreed to aim for a later‑day focus meeting so more respondents could attend. Staff will post a notice, create a flyer and invite survey respondents directly.
